Coastal Cleanup Drive Removes 2.4 Tonnes of Plastic from Malpe Beach

Over 600 volunteers from Udupi, Manipal, and Kundapura participated in a single-day coastal cleanup at Malpe Beach on June 8, 2026, removing 2.4 tonnes of plastic waste ahead of the monsoon season.
The drive was organised by the Udupi District Coastal Conservation Forum in partnership with the Forest Department.
