26 Arrested in Perdoor Resort Gambling Raid; Rs 16.5 Lakh in Assets Seized

On Thursday, police carried out a surprise raid at the Perdoor resort in Udupi, detaining 26 individuals accused of operating an illegal gambling ring. The operation was part of a crackdown on underground betting networks in the district.

The Perdoor resort, located near the town of Karkala, has been suspected of hosting clandestine gambling events for months. During the raid, investigators seized several cash registers, betting chips and a bank of computers used to track bets.
