26 People Arrested for Illegal Gambling at Udupi Resort

In a crackdown on illegal gambling, 26 individuals were taken into custody at a holiday resort in Udupi, authorities said Monday.

The resort, a popular weekend getaway for locals and tourists, was found to be running clandestine betting matches, with staff and visitors exchanging money for chance‑based games. Police seized more than 70,000 rupees in cash and several betting records during the raid.
