65,401 Udupi Children to Get Polio Drops on June 28

Health authorities in Udupi District have announced that 65,401 children will receive polio vaccination drops on 28 June as part of the district’s routine immunization programme.

The drive will target children between the ages of 2 months and 5 years and will be conducted at community health centres, sub‑district health offices, and selected schools across the district’s 16 talukas. District Health Officer Dr. R. Shivaraj emphasized the importance of complete coverage for maintaining Udupi’s polio‑free status, citing previous high attendance rates in the 2023 campaign.

With this campaign, Udupi seeks to reinforce its commitment to the national polio eradication initiative, ensuring that no child is left unprotected.
