65,401 Udupi Children to Receive Polio Vaccines on June 28

On 28 June, the health authorities in Udupi district are scheduled to administer oral polio vaccine drops to an estimated 65,401 children aged 1–5, as part of a continued effort to eliminate polio in Karnataka.

The drive follows Karnataka’s last reported indigenous polio case in 2014 and aligns with the state’s aim for zero polio by 2025. Health officials plan to use mobile teams and fixed centers across all talukas, ensuring that even children in remote coastal and hinterland areas receive the vaccine.
