7 Children Injured When School Bus Overturns into Ditch Near Manipal

A school bus carrying a group of children overturned into a ditch on a road near Manipal early Tuesday, injuring seven students in a sudden accident.
According to local authorities, the bus was en route to St. Xavier's School when it lost control on a sharp bend on the Manipal–Karkala stretch. The driver was seen attempting to regain balance before the vehicle tipped over, with the road surface reportedly slick after an evening shower.
Seven of the children were taken to Mangalore Medical College & Hospital in Udupi for treatment, while the driver sustained minor injuries. Parents and school officials have called for a review of transportation safety, and the district administration has temporarily suspended school bus services while investigations continue.
