Ambalpady Overpass Fully Open, Improving Traffic Flow in Udupi

Construction work on the Ambalpady overpass in Udupi has been declared complete, and the structure is now fully open to vehicular traffic. Local officials confirmed that the new overpass connects the KSRTC bus stand with the coastal road, providing a direct route for commuters.

The overpass, part of a larger urban renewal initiative launched in 2022, was designed to tackle the long-standing congestion on the stretch between Chikka Brahmavalli and Katapadi. The project involved widening of the access lanes and installing state‑of‑the‑art drainage systems to mitigate the seasonal flooding that often hampers traffic.
