Bakrid Celebrated with Religious Fervor Across Mangalore and Udupi Districts

On Saturday, 12 October, Muslims across Mangalore and the Udupi District burst into regular congregational prayers, marking the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan with Bakrid, the festival of sacrifice.
Pious crowds gathered at several mosques, such as the historic Friday Masjid in Mangalore and the Hassan Ganga Mosque in Udupi, to perform the communal prayers known as Jumu‘ah al-Fitr.
