BJP warns of political backlash if Udupi government hospital project misses deadline

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Udupi district has issued a stern warning that it will initiate a political protest should the construction of the district's new government hospital remain unfinished after the slated deadline in April.
Local BJP leaders cited concerns over the slow pace of work, alleged mismanagement, and the sufficiency of funds needed to complete the six‑storey facility that is expected to serve thousands of villagers and coastal towns. They called on the state government to accelerate procurement, supply chain management, and labour deployment for the project.
