A bomb threat was received via email by officials at the Udupi District Court in Karnataka, prompting an immediate halt to court proceedings and the deployment of law‑enforcement officers to secure the building.
According to police statements, the email contained a warning that “a bomb is planted in the court building by a hostile individual.” Upon taking the threat seriously, a joint task force from the local police and the Directorate of Prosecution conducted a thorough search of the premises, evacuating court staff and establishing an emergency perimeter.
