Bomb threat email prompts security lockdown at Udupi District Court

Last week, a bomb threat was allegedly sent via email to the Udupi District Court, leading to an immediate security lockdown and the evacuation of the courthouse.

Upon receiving the warning, the court’s security team activated emergency protocols, and the local police and bomb disposal squad were dispatched to the premises for inspection.

The threat was later found to be a hoax, but the incident disrupted scheduled hearings and raised concerns about court security in the region.
