Car collides with coconut tree, injuring six in Udupi district

At approximately 10:30 a.m. today, a private car crashed into a coconut tree in the outskirts of Udupi district, Karnataka, resulting in six injuries. Police reports indicate that three of the hurt are minors.

The incident occurred on a stretch of the highway that passes close to a coconut grove. Witnesses say the vehicle lost control after a sudden brake, striking the tree and causing the driver and passengers to ejected onto the road.

Emergency responders arrived swiftly and transported all six victims to nearby hospitals. Three of the injured were treated for lacerations and internal injuries, while the others suffered less severe wounds. Authorities have urged drivers to maintain clear lanes and carry out regular vehicle maintenance to prevent such accidents.
