Car Collides With Manipal Water Plant, Teenagers Injured

At around midday today, a car erupted into the municipal drinking water plant in the Manipal suburb of Udupi, causing significant damage to the structure and injuring two teenage occupants.
According to witnesses, the vehicle appeared to lose control while navigating a congested road that leads directly to the plant. Engine failure was cited as a possible cause, though police are yet to confirm. The damaged plant, which supplies potable water to thousands of residents, will undergo emergency repairs before a full service restoration can be assured.
The injuries sustained by the teenagers involve cuts and bruises, and they are expected to recover with basic medical treatment.
