Udupi authorities have warned that broken traffic cones and flashing lights at key junctions are creating dangerous conditions for commuters.

The cones, meant to guide traffic during roadworks, have fallen apart or lost batteries, while many warning blinkers on vehicle and traffic equipment are not functioning, leading to confusion among drivers.
