Udupi traffic authorities have reported a surge in hazard incidents caused by damaged traffic cones and non‑functional vehicle blinkers along major routes.

Traffic cones, placed to guide vehicles near construction sites, have suffered wear and tear that renders them indistinguishable from the road, while automotive blinkers are either broken or turned off, confusing drivers.
