Deworming tablets for 7.8 lakh children in Udupi, DK

The district administration of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada has launched a massive deworming drive to administer deworming tablets to 7.8 lakh children in the region. The programme aims to eradicate parasitic worms affecting the health of school-going children. As part of the drive, the administration has partnered with schools and healthcare centres to administer the tablets to children in the age group of 6-19 years.
The deworming drive is a part of the government's initiative to improve the overall health and wellbeing of school-going children. According to officials, the administration has identified 7.8 lakh children who will be administered the deworming tablets in a phased manner.
