Dr. Mathews Jacob has been named Associate Vice‑Chancellor of Health Sciences at Mahatma Gandhi University (MAHE), Manipal, effective from the current academic year.
Dr. Jacob, a seasoned clinician and researcher with a background in public health and medical education, had previously served as Director of the Institute of Medical Sciences at MAHE. His appointment follows a national search aimed at strengthening the university’s health‑science faculties and is expected to bring innovative curriculum development and increased research collaborations.
