Eight Students Injured After School Bus Overturns in Udupi

In the early hours of Tuesday, a school bus overturned while attempting to reverse on a stretch of road near Udupi, resulting in injuries to eight students boarding the vehicle. Emergency services responded quickly, transporting the victims to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The incident occurred at a junction adjacent to the Udupi Central School, where the bus struggled to navigate a sharp turn in a narrow lane. According to local police, the driver was trying to reposition the bus for a return journey when it lost balance, causing the vehicle to flip onto its side.
Seventeen children were taken to the Udupi district hospital, with four reported in critical condition.
