Five Runaway Minors Rescued on Matsyagandha Express, Reunited with Parents in Udupi

In a swift operation at Udupi railway station, five minors who had fled from their parents were caught aboard the Matsyagandha Express and brought back to safety.
The children, aged between 10 and 14, had boarded the train from Cuttack in October with no tickets and inexplicably deserted by their guardians. Police and station authorities monitored the locomotive, identified the youngsters in the carriages by name, and escorted them to the platform where their families awaited.
The incident has raised concerns about child travel safety, prompting the local police to review the monitoring of minors on express trains. Families expressed relief and gratitude, and the authorities plan to enhance tracking and reporting to prevent similar events.
