Following a comprehensive inspection of Udupi district hospitals, Minister Khader announced a tax‑free allocation of ₹28 crore earmarked for healthcare improvements.

During the review, Khader highlighted gaps in bed capacity, medical technology and emergency services across government facilities. The funds are to be used for purchasing advanced surgical equipment, renovating wards, and expanding outpatient services to meet rising patient demand.
