Health Minister Khader spent a day touring the main hospitals in the Udupi district, inspecting facilities and discussing improvement plans with senior medical staff.

During the visit, he highlighted gaps in emergency services, outdated equipment, and the need for better diagnostic tools. In response, he announced a ₹28‑crore allocation from the state health budget to upgrade hospitals, purchase modern medical apparatus, and enhance staff training.
