Heavy rains damage houses and block roads across Udupi district

The monsoon brought a heavy downpour across Udupi district on Tuesday, flooding low‑lying areas and damaging dozens of houses.

According to meteorological reports, the region received over 200 mm of rain between 4 pm and 6 pm, with coastal towns such as Byndoor and Kundapur reporting severe flooding.
