Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi for Four Days

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning that Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts will receive heavy to very heavy rainfall for the next four days, starting Friday and continuing through Monday.
This forecast follows a series of intense monsoon showers that have already caused flooding in low-lying areas. IMD expects rainfall totals of 200-350 mm in some parts of Udupi, with thunderstorm activity likely to increase humidity and gusty winds.
Local authorities have advised residents to avoid unnecessary travel, reinforce drainage systems, and keep emergency supplies ready. Roads in coastal and hill regions may be closed, and some schools and offices could be shut. Mukhyamantri and district officials have set up information desks to disseminate updates.
