Karnataka Govt Disburses ₹40 Lakh to 20 Kambala Stakeholders in Dakshina Kannada & Udupi

The state government today announced disbursement of ₹40 lakh earmarked for 20 Kambala competitions held across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.

Kambala, a bull-racing tradition celebrated in the early monsoon season, has seen declining participation due to rising costs and stricter animal welfare regulations.

The allocation will help cover logistical costs, veterinary care, and prize money, fostering community engagement and preserving this heritage event.
