Kasturba Hospital in Manipal has successfully performed a robotic surgery on a patient diagnosed with laryngotracheal cancer, a first in the region.

The procedure, carried out using a Da Vinci robotic system, reduced the patient’s surgical exposure and associated complications compared to traditional open surgery, according to hospital officials.
