Mangaluru Police Arrest Two Alleged Drug Peddlers in Udupi District

Mangaluru police arrested two men on suspicion of drug trafficking in the Udupi district on Friday evening. The operation was carried out following intelligence that the suspects were part of a local narcotics cell.
During the raid, officers seized 0.6 kilograms of various NPS drugs, including amphetamine and codeine derivatives. The suspects are believed to have been distributing the drugs to several networks within the district, and the police said the arrest was a part of a larger crackdown on drug trafficking in the region.
Both men will now be processed under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, and the police have promised to act swiftly to dismantle further drug networks. The operation underscores the ongoing efforts of law‑enforcement agencies to curb illicit drug distribution in coastal Karnataka.
