Manipal Health Gears Up for IPO After SEBI Clearance

By ETF Desk

Manipal Health, one of India's largest private healthcare networks, has secured the necessary regulatory approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to launch an Initial Public Offering (IPO). The clearance marks a significant step forward, with the company now moving to finalize pricing and listing details on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The hospital group, founded in 1975 by Dr. Nemmani N. Ravi Kishore, has grown to operate over 30 hospitals and 400 diagnostic centers across the country, with a strong presence in Karnataka. In recent years, it has undertaken substantial expansions, launching new specialty centers in Udupi and other districts to meet rising demand for affordable quality care.

Analysts predict that the IPO could raise up to ₹5,000 crore, providing surplus capital that could be directed towards infrastructure upgrades and the launch of new outpatient clinics. Investors in Udupi and the broader region stand to benefit from improved access to advanced medical services as a result.
