Manipal Health has secured the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s (SEBI) nod to launch an initial public offering (IPO) that could raise up to ₹10,000 crore. The move brings the Bengaluru‑based diagnostic chain a step closer to its long‑term expansion and capital‑raising goals.
Founded in 2005, Manipal Health has become one of India’s largest diagnostic networks, operating over 350 labs and imaging centres across the country. With rising demand for high‑quality medical diagnostics, the firm plans to use the IPO proceeds to widen its reach, upgrade technology and deepen its rural presence, including in Udupi and the surrounding Dakshina Kannada district.
Analysts say the listing will further strengthen the region’s healthcare infrastructure and could create new jobs locally. Meanwhile, investors will now have an avenue to participate in a company that has consistently outperformed the market and continues to drive growth in India’s medical sector.
