Manipal Health has secured approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for its initial public offering (IPO), which is set to raise ₹10,000 crore ($1.27 billion). The public company filed its draft prospectus on March 25, and SEBI’s green light paves the way for the hospital chain to launch the offer in the capital markets.
The approval follows a comprehensive review by SEBI of the company’s financials, disclosures and regulatory compliance. Manipal Health, a prominent private healthcare provider in Karnataka, has been expanding aggressively, adding new facilities and technologies across the state. The IPO will provide fresh capital for further growth, including the construction of new specialty units and the upgrade of existing infrastructure.
The decision is expected to boost investor confidence in the healthcare sector of Udupi District and Karnataka at large, and may attract additional investment in regional health services. Source: Google News – Manipal.
