Manipal Health, a leading multi‑specialty hospital chain in Karnataka, has earned the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s approval to float an initial public offering (IPO) valued at ₹8,000 crore.
The company, which was founded by Dr. Manipal G. Saroj and has more than 30 hospitals across the state, plans to raise capital to fund new facilities and technology upgrades. SEBI’s sanction, announced last week, confirms that the company has met all regulatory prerequisites, including compliance with corporate governance and financial transparency norms.
The IPO could attract institutional investors and provide a boost to the local healthcare sector, potentially paving the way for further private investment in Udupi’s medical infrastructure. The listing is expected to be completed within the next few months, pending final underwriting and market conditions. Source: Google News – Manipal.
