Manipal Health, the flagship healthcare arm of the Manipal Group, has secured approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to list its shares on the BSE and NSE. The company plans to offer 15% of its equity to the public in the initial public offering, which is expected to value the firm at about INR 17,000 crore.
The listing follows the filing of the IPO prospectus earlier this year, and aligns with Manipal Health’s strategy to finance its expanding network of hospitals and diagnostic centres across Karnataka, especially in underserved regions such as Udupi and Mangalore.
The move is likely to inject fresh funds into the group’s healthcare ventures, enabling further investment in medical infrastructure and technology. It also provides local investors in Udupi District the chance to participate in a growing health‑service sector. Source: Google News – Manipal.
