Temasek-backed Manipal Health has received clearance from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to launch its initial public offering, a key milestone before its anticipated listing in July.
The hospital chain, which operates over 300 beds across Karnataka, has recently attracted a 15% stake from Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund Temasek, and the fresh capital will help fund expansion into new specialties and rural clinics.
With a valuation of around ₹13,000 crore, the IPO is expected to generate a substantial influx of funds for the healthcare provider and could also provide a new investment avenue for Indian equity markets. Source: Google News – Manipal.
