Manipal Health, the healthcare arm of Manipal Group, has obtained approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to proceed with an initial public offering that could raise up to ₹8,000 crore. The company announced the seizure of the nod this week, in response to a filing submitted to the regulator for a public listing of its shares.
Founded in 1975, Manipal Health operates a network of teaching hospitals and specialty centres across Karnataka and neighboring states. The group has consistently expanded through acquisitions and organic growth, becoming one of the leading private healthcare providers in the region. The IPO is expected to be the largest in Karnataka in the present financial year.
The approved IPO will provide the company with a fresh capital base to fund infrastructure development, technology adoption, and further expansion of services. It also offers retail and institutional investors an opportunity to participate in a well-established healthcare provider. Source: Google News – Manipal.
