Manipal Hospitals Group, a prominent private healthcare provider headquartered in Bengaluru, announced plans to float a $1 billion initial public offering (IPO) on the Indian stock exchanges in July, according to Bloomberg reports.
The proposed listing will be on the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange, with an offering size aimed to raise roughly ₹7,200 crores ($98 million) at a valuation near ₹45,000 crores ($61 billion). The company intends to provide a mix of institutional and retail shares, tapping investor appetite for premium healthcare assets.
The capital influx could fund new specialty centers in the Udupi district, expanding access to tertiary care services for coastal Karnataka residents. The move also underscores a broader trend of private hospitals pursuing equity financing amid growing demand for advanced medical technologies.
