Manipal Hospitals to File $1 Billion India IPO in January

By ETF Desk

Manipal Hospitals, one of India’s largest private healthcare providers, is set to file an initial public offering of approximately $1 billion in January, according to reports from Bloomberg.

The move comes after the group’s 2019 listing, which raised $77 million, and reflects its ambition to expand services across Karnataka and other states. Manipal Hospitals has been investing in high‑tech medical equipment and expanding its network of specialty centres, including the renowned Manipal Medical College in Udupi.

The IPO is expected to provide the conglomerate with capital to fund growth, pay down debt, and support innovations such as telemedicine. For the Udupi region, the boost in health infrastructure could lead to better access to specialist care and create new employment opportunities. Source: Google News – Manipal.
