Manipal Hospitals, a leading private medical group in Karnataka, is reportedly preparing to go public with an initial public offering (IPO) that could raise as much as $1 billion, according to sources.
The company has expanded rapidly over the past decade, operating multiple hospitals across several states and recently raising significant capital through private equity. Earlier this year, it was said to negotiate with investment banks and regulators to structure the offering, aiming for a valuation that would place it among India's top healthcare firms.
The proposed listing could make it one of the largest hospital IPOs in India and is expected to boost Udupi's visibility by encouraging ancillary services and attracting investors. Source: Google News – Manipal.
