Manipal Hospitals, the leading healthcare group in Karnataka, has reportedly announced plans to begin marketing its initial public offering (IPO) soon, aiming to raise approximately $1 billion.
The company, which operates over 20 hospitals across India and has recently secured significant private investments, is expected to file its prospectus with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in the coming months. If successful, the IPO would provide a much-needed capital infusion to support expansion and enhance medical services in the region, including the Udupi district.
Given the timing, experts anticipate that the move could spur growth in the local healthcare sector by enabling Manipal to invest in newer technology and infrastructure. Source: Google News – Manipal.
