Manipal Hospitals said it intends to start marketing a $1 billion initial public offering (IPO) shortly, according to reports from Moneycontrol.
The company, which operates a chain of hospitals across India, has hinted that the IPO could be priced within the upper range of the $800 million to $1 billion valuation spectrum. Analysts note that the move would follow the successful listing of other healthcare players such as Apollo Hospitals and would give investors exposure to a growing sector.
The successful launch of the IPO is expected to boost the company’s capital base, enable expansion of its network, and enhance its competitiveness in the region. It may also encourage local talent recruitment and create new opportunities for allied healthcare services in Udupi district. Source: Google News – Manipal.
