Minister Khader Reviews Udupi Hospitals, Pledges ₹28 Crore for Healthcare

In a state‑wide health audit, Minister M Chandra Khader visited several district hospitals in Udupi, inspecting surgical suites, emergency wards and outpatient services.
During the tour, the minister noted areas needing urgent attention, including outdated diagnostic equipment, staff shortages in rural nursing posts, and the lack of specialised medical staff at peripheral centres. He met with hospital administrators, doctors and local community leaders to discuss immediate and long‑term solutions.
Responding to the concerns raised, Khader announced a ₹28 crore allocation earmarked for infrastructure redevelopment, procurement of modern medical devices, training of healthcare professionals, and the establishment of additional outreach clinics.
