MLA Suresh Shetty: District Administration Has Sanctioned Land for New Primary School

In a recent meeting, MLA Suresh Shetty Gurme revealed that the district administration has officially sanctioned a parcel of land for the construction of a new primary school in the rural Periyadoddi village. The decision was announced during a press briefing held at the Udupi District Collectorate.

Spanning approximately 5 acres, the site had been earmarked for public use since 2018 but faced delays due to administrative paperwork. With the approval now secured, the project is slated to start early next year, following procurement of building permits.

The new school is set to address the shortage of educational facilities in the region, providing classrooms for over 300 students and a community library.
