Moderate rainfall in Dakshina Kannada; Udupi district enjoys good showers

Today the monsoon shower hit Dakshina Kannada with moderate rainfall, while Udupi district received a healthy dose of showers across most of its taluks.

Consistent south‑west monsoon winds have brought moisture into the coastal belt, ensuring that the region’s climate remains humid and temperatures stay at a comfortable level.

Farmers in Udupi have benefited from the good rains, which are expected to improve the growth of paddy and coconut plantations; roads and transport services are largely unaffected.
