Mount Rosary School in Udupi Presents Vanamahotsava Float Festival

On Saturday, 18 June, Mount Rosary School in Ullal, Udupi, organized its annual Vanamahotsava float festival near the Tenseo Industrial Estate, inviting school students and the local community to view the displays.
The event featured eight intricately designed floats, each representing a distinct theme such as marine life, traditional Udupi cuisine, and Indian mythology. Students from primary to high school classes built them under the guidance of teachers, incorporating recycled materials and vibrant paints.
Principal Rev. Fr. Don Bosco explained that the festival aims to foster teamwork, creativity, and civic pride among the student body. He also thanked local artisans who supplied decorative elements and said the school plans to hold a similar exhibition next year.
The lively procession drew a crowd of over 1,500 residents, many of whom celebrated the harmonious blend of education and cultural heritage. The programme was reported by Daijiworld and covered by local media.
