Nearly 200,000 Children in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Receive Polio Shots

The state health department announced today that 199,000 children aged up to 5 years have received the oral polio vaccine in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts during the current campaign.

The roll‑out, launched on 1 June, targeted out‑of‑school children and those attending primary schools, with teams of medical staff and volunteers administering the drops in villages across the two districts.
