Over 199,000 Children Covered in Dakshina Kannada Polio Drive

In a coordinated effort to eradicate polio, officials in Dakshina Kannada (DK) district completed a pulse polio immunization drive that reached more than 199,000 children across the region.

The drive, backed by the state’s health department and national immunisation programme, covered children from 6 months to 5 years of age in villages, schools, and community centres, ensuring high uptake and full coverage of target population.
