Police officers in Udupi district on Wednesday dismantled a cache of drugs valued at Rs 36.29 lakh, a significant blow to the local drug trade.

The operation, conducted by the Udupi Police Anti‑Drug Squad, involved a stealth raid on a suspect’s residence near Karkala. Authorities seized a range of narcotics, including heroin and methamphetamine, and confiscated several trafficking kits, sources said.
