Police Raid Udupi Homestay, Seize MDMA & Ganja, Seven Arrested

At around 9 a.m. on Friday, the Udupi City Police stepped into a homestay located in the bustling Kodli area after receiving intelligence about illicit drug manufacturing. The raid resulted in the seizure of a sizeable cache of MDMA, over 200 grams of marijuana, and various paraphernalia used for drug production.
The operation followed a week‑long investigation that linked the homestay to a local drug trafficking ring reportedly supplying the Bengaluru market. Police officials confirmed that the occupants were operating under the guise of a legitimate guest house, with occupants being arrested on charges of drug manufacturing and distribution.
Seven individuals, including a 28‑year‑old chief conspirator, were taken into custody for further interrogation. They face charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, and prosecutors are expected to file detailed chargesheets shortly. Source: Google News – Udupi.
