Police Seize MDMA, Ganja in Udupi Homestay Raid, Seven Detained

Police officers raided a homestay in Udupi last night, arresting seven people and seizing an illegal batch of MDMA and ganja.

The operation, conducted by the district police, uncovered a hidden storage room containing over 200 grams of meth‑amphetamine (MDMA) and multiple kilos of cannabis, indicating a potentially large-scale drug trafficking operation.

Authorities say the seized drugs point to a network that may supply illicit substances to other parts of Karnataka. The arrested individuals face charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and could be subject to strict penalties.
