Power outage hits Mangaluru and Udupi district on Aug 19

Investigators are working to determine whether the disruption was caused by technical faults, routine maintenance, or a surge in demand. The Karnataka State Electricity Board announced that the fault had been traced to a transmission line south of the district, and corrective work is underway to restore full service.
