Rowdy Somu Externed from Udupi District, Police Confirm

The Udupi police announced yesterday that Somu, a known rowdy with a history of violent incidents in the region, has been exonerated and removed from the district. Officers cited an internal review and cooperation with the Central Crime Investigation Department as the basis for the decision.
Sources say Somu has previously been linked to several petty crimes, including assault and intimidation of local business owners. The extradition process involved coordination with the Karnataka State Police and a temporary custody arrangement in a remote facility. Authorities also stressed that the exoneration does not absolve any pending charges, merely that he no longer resides within Udupi jurisdiction.
