School Bus Nears Major Mishap in Manipal After Losing Control

A school bus on a routine morning trip in Manipal went out of control on the Tumkur road, careening onto the traffic divider that separates the two carriageways. The incident occurred shortly after 9:00 a.m. as the bus, carrying about 30 students, was heading towards the Manipal Institute of Technology.

Initial reports attribute the loss of control to a sudden brake failure, causing the driver to skid and the vehicle to scrape the divider. Fortunately, the driver’s quick reflexes and a police officer’s timely brake intervention prevented the bus from advancing further and causing a head-on collision with an oncoming truck.
